Starting August 12th, 2025!
HomeDance is a rare program made exclusively for homeschooled students with a desire to become professional dancers. This is a way for dancer's to train exclusively in ballet, conditioning and pointe to gain an edge with stronger technique and artistry. It is designed to fit into the mornings so that dancers can still commit to other dance studios schedules and/or to accommodate schooling. The class size is limited to only 5 dancers for optimal feedback and detailed instruction and will follow a strict American Ballet Theatre curriculum for tremendous growth. Dancers will need to submit an audition video for consideration.
Classes will run on every Tuesday and Thursday from 9:00am - 11:45am and is located at Slade Dance Studio in Collierville, Tennessee. In addition, HomeDance students are able to attend any of the Slade Dance supplemental ballet classes that run during the weekends and evenings.
Fall semester runs for 17 weeks (Tuesday, August 12th - Thursday, December 18th)
The dancers will follow Collierville's school system for Fall break and holidays. Dancers that are selected for Fall semester will have to re-audition for the spring/summer term.
Dancers can anticipate a nurturing yet challenging environment where they will undergo rigorous training. The program begins with 1.5-hour ballet class, followed by 45 mins - 1hour of pointe work and stretching/conditioning exercises. As the dancers progress, they will delve into ballet variations and explore dance history, culminating in a final evaluation featuring a memorized class and solo variation performance at the studio at the end of the semester! HomeDance students will enjoy benefits of $40hr private coaching and free supplemental ballet and pointe classes to advance their training. With mentorship being the core of HomeDance, dancers will be provided support for summer intensives, colleges, and dance company auditions.
Dancers must be 12 or older to audition for the HomeDance program.
Video auditions are currently accepted until August 1st. The video needs to include ballet class material from the barre and center and a solo (classical and/or contemporary accepted) Videos do not need to exceed more than 6 minutes. Video links and registration form can be sent to sladedance@gmail.com.
Dancers unable to send in an audition video may audition in person by booking a private lesson with Mrs. Chloé before August 1st, 2025.
All results will be emailed by August 5th, 2025. Acceptance of the offer will have a deadline of August 10th, 2025. After that time, you will be placed on a waitlist. Those on the waitlist will be contacted after the completion of all auditions depending on availability. Please feel free to reach out with any questions to sladedance@gmail.com.
Fall Semester tuition is $1400.
