Slade Dance is a distinguished coaching platform specializing in ballet training. Founded in 2020 as Slade Coaching and guided by the accomplished ballet dancer Chloé Slade, this platform fosters a supportive environment conducive to learning and personal growth. By integrating the Vaganova, American Ballet Theatre® National Training Curriculum, and Tina Bernal techniques, it cultivates resilient and versatile dancers equipped for professional careers.

  • Comprehensive Curriculum - Slade Dance uses a comprehensive 7 Level breakdown curriculum designed by American Ballet Theatre to create a strong foundation in all of her dancers. With the addition of a professional performance background with many ballet and modern dance companies and years of conditioning training, Chloé fills in any missing gaps in a dancers training to create consistency. 

 

  • Mentorship - Chloé believes in nurturing, encouraging, and supporting the skill development of her students. Chloé helps with college or professional company dreams with the prep work and material needed as well as industry guidance so dancers feel technically, emotionally, and mentally supported.

Chloé Slade (Charles) began her dance journey at the age of 7, quickly highlighting her exceptional talent by auditioning and gaining acceptance into the prestigious South Carolina Governors School for the Arts and Humanities under the mentorship of Stanislav Issaev and Irina Ushakova. Over four transformative years, she refined her skills and attended esteemed summer intensives, including North Carolina Dance Theatre and American Ballet Theatre. Her dedication shone through impressive rankings in the Regional Youth American Grande Prix competition from 2003 to 2005, culminating in her participation in the finals in New York. Chloé continued her dance education in New York with a BFA in dance and performance from SUNY Purchase College in 2009. Her remarkable versatility enabled her to dance soloist and principal roles with various regional ballet and contemporary companies across North America including New York Theatre Ballet, Cuban Classical Ballet of Miami, Oakland Ballet, Connecticut Ballet, Charleston Ballet Theatre and contemporary companies Ballet Inc., Newport Contemporary Ballet, Miami Contemporary Dance Company, Battery Dance, and Nimbus Dance.

Mrs. Chloé is a devoted teacher focused on cultivating the talents of future dancers. With a rich background of teaching at respected institutions such as Nimbus Dance and Cuban Classical Ballet of Miami, she offers her students a deep well of knowledge and expertise. Chloé was most recently the Dance Program Director at New Ballet Ensemble and School from 2021 - 2025, teaching, overseeing curriculum development, and training other ballet teachers. She is an accredited ABT instructor from Pre-primary to Level 7/Partnering and certified yoga teacher. Driven by her passion for improving training programs, she leads the Slade Coaching initiative and looks forward to launching a homeschool program in Fall 2025, aimed at enhancing the technique of serious dancers alongside their studio training in addition to offering supplemental ballet classes.
